Payments
Lessons are billed monthly in advance, based on your regular weekly time slot. Your place is only guaranteed once payment for the coming month has been received.
- Payment is collected automatically by card or Direct Debit on the same date each month.
- Prices are shown in GBP and include any applicable taxes.
- If a payment fails, we'll notify you by WhatsApp or email and retry within 3 days before pausing lessons.
- You can update your payment method at any time from the Student Portal.
Lesson Schedule Changes
We know life happens — your weekly slot can be changed with a little notice so your teacher can plan around it.
- Requests to permanently move your weekly time slot need at least 5 days' notice.
- Submit changes through the Student Portal or WhatsApp so they're logged against your account.
- New slots are confirmed once your teacher's availability is checked — we'll always confirm before the change takes effect.
- Repeated last-minute schedule changes may be limited to keep things fair for other students.
Attendance & Cancellations
Consistent attendance is one of the biggest factors in how quickly a student progresses, so we ask for the same courtesy we extend to you.
- Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your lesson wherever possible.
- Cancellations inside 24 hours are treated as attended unless covered by the Missed Lesson Allowance below.
- If a teacher needs to cancel, you'll always be offered a replacement session at no extra cost.
- Three or more unexplained absences in a row may result in your slot being released to another student.
Missed Lesson Allowance
We understand that illness, travel and emergencies happen. Every student receives a small monthly allowance to cover exactly that.
- Each student may carry over 1 missed lesson per month, made up within the following 30 days.
- Unused allowance does not roll over beyond one month and has no cash value.
- The allowance covers genuine emergencies — it isn't a substitute for the 24-hour cancellation notice above.
- Makeup lessons are scheduled directly with your teacher, subject to availability.
Holidays & Breaks
The academy follows a short published closure calendar each year, and you're also welcome to pause your own lessons for planned travel.
- Academy-wide closures (e.g. Eid) are announced at least 2 weeks in advance and are never charged.
- You may pause your own subscription for holidays with at least 7 days' notice, up to 4 weeks per year.
- Paused months are not billed, and your regular slot is held for your return wherever possible.
- Teachers may also take limited personal leave; you'll be offered a substitute teacher or a credited pause.
Homework & Independent Study
Weekly lessons work best alongside a little independent practice — your teacher will set homework suited to your level.
- Homework is set after most lessons and tracked in the Student Portal.
- Recommended practice is 10–15 minutes a day, but any consistent practice helps.
- Teachers review homework at the start of the following lesson.
- Falling behind on homework doesn't affect your place — your teacher will simply adjust the pace.
Other Important Information
- Lessons take place over video call; recordings (where enabled) are for the student's revision use only.
- We ask that all students and family members treat teachers with the same respect shown in class.
- Personal data is handled in line with our privacy practices and is never sold to third parties.
- These terms may be updated from time to time; continuing lessons after a change means you accept the update.
